Disney Lorcana has released 14 main sets since The First Chapter reached game stores on August 18, 2023, and Set 15 arrives in February 2027. This page lists the Lorcana sets in order, with each set's number, both U.S. release dates and whether it's still legal in Core Constructed. It also shows how to read the set number off a card, which makes sorting a binder or a box of bulk much faster.

How we built this table: dates for Sets 5, 6 and 10–15 come from Ravensburger's product pages (Shimmering Skies, Azurite Sea, Whispers in the Well, Wilds Unknown, Attack of the Vine!, Hyperia City, Into the Inkdark) and its Winterspell press release; Fabled's wide date from its release notes. Sets 1–4, 7, 8 and Fabled's store date come from Wikipedia's set list and StarCityGames, checked against the Lorcast set database. The Into the Inkdark page gives no year; 2027 is from ICv2. All read October 31, 2026.
How to tell which set a Lorcana card is from
The set number is the last figure in the line at the bottom left of the card. That line holds the card number, a two-letter language code and the set number, so a card reading "154/204 · EN · 3" is card 154 of Into the Inklands, in English. Card Gamer's guide uses that Scrooge McDuck example and adds a tip: Location cards are printed sideways, so turn them to read the line.
Two quirks catch new collectors:
- A card number above the set total means a special rarity. Enchanted cards have always been numbered past 204 (Ravensburger), and since Fabled the Epic and Iconic cards are too.
- Promos can look odd. Some carry a "P" in the card number, but they still print the number of the set they belong to, according to Card Gamer.
If you're sorting toward a full set, our master set guide explains how to track what's missing.
Why does each Lorcana set have two release dates?
Lorcana launches in local game stores first and reaches big-box stores and online shops later. For the first sets the gap was two weeks: The First Chapter hit game stores on August 18, 2023 and wide retail on September 1. Azurite Sea's gap was 10 days, and from Reign of Jafar on it has been one week.
On recent sets, Ravensburger calls the game store day the prerelease. Hyperia City's product page lists "Prerelease: October 16, 2026" and "Everywhere: October 23, 2026". If you shop at a big-box store, plan on the later date.
How Lorcana sets have changed since 2023
Every set is built on the same base: 204 cards from Common to Legendary. The First Chapter's run, for example, splits into 72 Common, 54 Uncommon, 48 Rare, 18 Super Rare and 12 Legendary cards, per Lorcast's card database. Attack of the Vine! is the one exception so far, with a slightly longer run (its Iconics are numbered 244 and 245 of 207, as TCGplayer's listing shows).
The extras on top have grown:
- Enchanted: 12 per set in The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn, 18 per set from Into the Inklands on (Lorcast counts).
- Epic and Iconic: added with Fabled, 18 Epic and 2 Iconic cards per set (Ravensburger). Fabled also reprinted favorite older cards.
- Illustrious: starts with Into the Inkdark, found only in the new Collector Boosters. Each set has six, and only 23 copies of each are printed (Ravensburger, September 2026).
Our Lorcana rarities guide shows every symbol, and the most valuable Lorcana cards list covers which of those cards collectors chase.
Which Lorcana sets are legal in Core Constructed?
Fabled and every set after it. Since Attack of the Vine!, Core Constructed only allows cards from Fabled onward, plus older cards that were reprinted in Fabled or later under the same name (Ravensburger, August 4, 2026). Rotation happens once a year and removes the four oldest sets. Ravensburger hasn't announced the date of the next one.
The first rotation came with Fabled, which retired Sets 1–4 from Core (Fabled release notes). Infinity Constructed still allows nearly every card (Ravensburger). Rotation changes which decks you can play at a Core event, not which cards belong in your binder.
What about Illumineer's Quest boxes?
Illumineer's Quest boxes are cooperative games where one or more players take on a boss deck. They don't get a set number, so they're left out of the table above. There are three so far:
- Deep Trouble (Ursula): hobby stores May 17, 2024, everywhere May 31, 2024 (Ravensburger).
- Palace Heist (Jafar): prerelease May 30, 2025, everywhere June 6, 2025 (Ravensburger).
- The Great Hunny Rescue: available October 2, 2026. Players rescue a Piglet glimmer trapped in vines, with Hunny versions of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger on their side (Ravensburger).
Master-set collectors should know that a few Quest cards are numbered into a main set, after its regular run. Lorcast lists Yen Sid – Powerful Sorcerer and Mulan – Elite Archer, the characters Deep Trouble's two player decks are built around, as Ursula's Return 223 and 224, and The Great Hunny Rescue's Violet Parr – Super Resilient as Attack of the Vine! 247.

What's the next Lorcana set?
Into the Inkdark is Set 15. Its product page lists a February 5 prerelease and a February 12 release, and it brings the first Collector Boosters. After that:
- Cosmic Quest: "Coming Q2 2027", according to its product page.
- One more set in late 2027, still unnamed (Ravensburger).
Our TCG release calendar tracks these dates next to the other games we cover, and we'll add each new set to the table above when it's announced.
