Lorcana Into the Inkdark Opens Preorders for February 12, 2027

Into the Inkdark, the first Disney Lorcana set of 2027, went up for preorder with an expected February 12, 2027 release, ICv2 reported on October 23. Ravensburger's product page lists prerelease on February 5 and launch on February 12, and confirms the set debuts Collector Boosters and the serialized Illustrious rarity.

Illustrious: 23 copies of each card

Ravensburger introduced Illustrious at D23 in August. Its announcement says only 23 serialized copies of each Illustrious card are printed, with six Illustrious cards in Into the Inkdark. That's 138 Illustrious cards for the whole set, worldwide. The first one revealed was Maleficent – Biding Her Time, illustrated by Kendall Hale.

What an Into the Inkdark Collector Booster is

A Collector Booster has 12 cards, the same count as a standard pack, but every card is foil and rarer cards get extra treatments. Ravensburger's product page says they make an Enchanted or Iconic card much more likely than a standard booster does, but gives no odds.

The catch is where they're sold. Collector Boosters won't be stocked at every game store, only at select Ravensburger Play Hub stores and Disney locations. Resell Calendar reported in September that Ravensburger set the price at $35 a pack, with no discount for a full box.

What it means for collectors

At 138 copies across six cards, almost nobody will open an Illustrious, and Ravensburger hasn't published how often one appears. If you want foil versions of the villains for your binder, Collector Boosters raise your chances of foils and higher rarities, but buying the single you want is usually cheaper than opening for it.
