Pokémon Happy Meal cards return to McDonald's in November 2026, with two Pokémon TCG cards in every meal, The Pokémon Company announced on October 29. The United States, Canada and five other countries get them first, and the rest of the rollout runs through February 2027.

What's in each Happy Meal
Every Pokémon Happy Meal comes with two cards and one small toy shaped like a Happy Meal box, according to Pokémon's announcement. The 15 toys are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Weedle, Pikachu, Eevee, Umbreon, Torchic, Piplup, Munchlax, Minccino, Espurr, Rowlet, Sobble and Sprigatito.
The announcement shows the 15-card set but doesn't list the cards by name or say which 7 are foil. It also doesn't say whether the two cards come in a sealed pack. Quebec is the exception to the toy: fans there get a sticker and a booster pack with four Pokémon TCG cards.
When Pokémon Happy Meals reach each country
Pokémon's page lists the countries by month, "while supplies last" at participating restaurants:
Month | Countries |
|---|---|
November 2026 | United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, France, Spain (7) |
December 2026 | 36 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and South Africa |
January 2027 | 21 countries, mostly in Latin America, plus Italy, Israel, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania |
February 2027 | United Kingdom and Ireland |

The page gives no day. Before the announcement, a promotional sheet that leaked online listed November 10 to December 14, as Dexerto reported on October 27. Neither McDonald's nor The Pokémon Company has confirmed those dates, so treat them as unconfirmed until your local restaurant has the boxes.
What it means for collectors
With two cards per meal, a full 15-card set takes at least 8 Happy Meals, and that's only with no duplicates at all. Most families will end up with doubles, so trading with friends, or buying the last few singles once they show up online, is usually easier than ordering meal after meal.
If you're after the foils, sleeve them as soon as the box is open. A loose card in a Happy Meal box picks up scuffs fast, and condition matters if you ever want to grade one. Our Pokémon card gift guide for parents has simple ways to keep kids' cards safe, and Pokémon card rarities explained covers what the different symbols mean.
What's next
- U.S. start date: expected sometime in November; Pokémon hasn't named a day.
- The card list: the names of the 15 cards and which 7 are foil should become clear once the meals are in restaurants. We'll update this story when they are.
- Later waves: December for most of Europe, January for Latin America, February for the U.K. and Ireland.
