Pokémon Card Gyms across Japan start handing out Promo Card Pack Vol. 6 on November 1, 2026, Pokémon Japan announced on October 16. Each pack holds one random card from a pool of seven, led by Mega Heatran ex. Players earn packs by entering or winning gym events, so the cards aren't sold in stores.
Promo Card Pack Vol. 6: key facts
- Japanese name: プロモカードパック第6弾 (Promo Card Pack Vol. 6), part of the Pokémon Card Game MEGA series
- Distribution starts: Sunday, November 1, 2026
- Where: Pokémon Card Gyms (participating stores) across Japan
- Pack: 1 random card
- How to get one: prizes at Gym Battle and "Deck-as-is Battle" events, while stock lasts
- Not announced: an end date, or whether any of these cards will get an English release
The seven cards in the pack
Card | Type of card | Note from Pokémon Japan |
|---|---|---|
Mega Heatran ex | Pokémon | New card |
ハルジオ | Supporter | New card |
Golett | Pokémon | New illustration |
Gastly | Pokémon | New illustration |
Hariyama | Pokémon | Reprint |
エネルギーリサイクル | Item | Reprint |
Starly | Pokémon | Reprint |
The Supporter and Item are listed by their Japanese names because The Pokémon Company hasn't published English names for them in this pack. The announcement notes that other versions of Golett and Gastly already appear in the expansions Storm Emeralda and Munikis Zero (ムニキスゼロ).
How players get the packs
At Gym Battle events, entrants get one pack as a participation prize, the winner gets one, and stores with nine or more players add a rock-paper-scissors tournament with one more pack. Deck-as-is Battle (デッキそのままバトル) entrants get one pack plus an Eevee promo.
During the 30th anniversary gym campaign, the Gym Battle participation prize is swapped for a separate "30th Promo Card Pack". Pokémon Japan's notice doesn't give dates for that swap and links to the campaign page instead.
What it means for collectors
Gym promos often reach collectors outside Japan later, through import shops and marketplaces, once players trade or sell their prizes. Since the packs are random, getting a specific card is down to luck or trading. The Mega Heatran ex is the only Pokémon ex in this pool.
