Gear 5 Luffy, the laughing, white-haired form from the Wano arc, is the most collected character state in the One Piece Card Game. This guide lists every Gear 5 Luffy card printed in English: the card numbers, every printing of each one, and what each has recently sold for. The short version: the same Gear 5 card can cost $1 or $13,000 depending on which print you hold.

TCGplayer sales history, read October 29, 2026. Each card's section below lists every printing with its sale dates. Printings with no sales in that window are left out of the price columns.

How we built this list: we checked every Monkey.D.Luffy printing on Bandai's English card list (194 of them on October 29, 2026) and kept the ones whose art shows Gear 5, cross-checked against Samurai Sword Tokyo's Gear 5 guide and Bandai's own product pages. A few cards in the ST-21 "Gear 5" deck, such as the Luffy Super Rare ST21-014, show him in his normal form, so they aren't counted here.

OP05-119: the Gear 5 Luffy Secret Rare
OP05-119 is the first Gear 5 Luffy card in booster packs. It debuted in Awakening of the New Era (OP-05), which reached English stores on December 8, 2023, at $4.49 a pack (Bandai). Bandai's page calls it the set where Gear 5 Luffy makes his debut, and lists OP05-119 among its three Super Parallel cards, the manga-panel version collectors call the Manga Rare.

It has been reprinted more than any other Gear 5 card:
Printing | Where it comes from | Recent sold prices | Sale dates |
|---|---|---|---|
Awakening of the New Era (OP-05) | $19.99–$24.99 | Oct 26–27 | |
OP-05 | $115.12–$164.90 | Oct 25–28 | |
OP-05 | $8,699.69 | Jul 2 | |
Premium Booster -The Best- (PRB-01) | $16.21–$19.37 | Oct 27–28 | |
PRB-01 | $42.01–$212.31 | Oct 23–28 | |
PRB-01 | No sales Jul–Oct 2026 |
| |
Emperors in the New World (OP-09) | $580–$598.98 | Oct 19–27 | |
A Fist of Divine Speed (OP-11) | No sales Jul–Oct 2026 |
| |
OP-11 | $13,000; $7,999.99 (Lightly Played) | Aug 5; Oct 2 | |
Promo set | $66.17–$79.47 | Oct 21–27 |
TCGplayer sales history, raw English copies, near mint unless noted, read October 29, 2026. All dates 2026. The PRB-01 Alternate Art sold at two very different levels in the same week ($42–$45 and $190–$212), so check the listing details before you buy.
A few things that help when you're looking at an OP05-119:
- The base card and the PRB-01 reprint are the cheap ones. If yours has a normal frame and no special treatment, it's almost certainly one of them.
- The Wanted Poster SP is printed as a bounty poster, which makes it easy to spot.
- The Manga and SP Gold are the two cards that drive the "Gear 5 Luffy is worth thousands" headlines. Few copies trade: the OP-05 Manga had one TCGplayer sale between July and October 2026.
We covered why the print matters so much in our list of the most valuable One Piece cards, and our guide to One Piece card rarities explains Secret Rares, parallels and SP cards.
The Gear 5 Luffy Leader cards
There are two Gear 5 Luffy Leaders, and they're the cheapest way to own Gear 5 art.
ST21-001 leads Starter Deck EX -GEAR5- (ST-21), released March 14, 2025, at $34.99. Bandai's page introduces it as the Gear 5 Luffy's new Leader card (Bandai).
ST21-001 printing | Recent sold prices | Sale dates |
|---|---|---|
$4.52–$5.30 | Oct 27–28 | |
$55–$57.98 | Oct 25–28 | |
$6.43–$8.99 | Oct 25–26 | |
$1.24–$2.00 | Oct 27 |
OP09-061 is the purple and black Leader from Emperors in the New World (OP-09), later reprinted in Starter Deck PURPLE/BLACK Monkey.D.Luffy (ST-26).
OP09-061 printing | Recent sold prices | Sale dates |
|---|---|---|
$0.15–$0.50 | Oct 26–28 | |
$85–$88.65 | Oct 24–28 | |
$4.48–$6.16 | Oct 27 | |
$248–$355.46 | Oct 11–28 | |
Jumbo promo | $100–$108 | Sep 16–17 |
TCGplayer sales history, raw English copies, near mint, read October 29, 2026. All dates 2026. The Jumbo is an oversized promo, not a playable card.
EB04-061 and ST31-004: the newer Gear 5 cards
Two more recent cards show Gear 5 Luffy, and both have a pricey SP version.
EB04-061 is a Secret Rare from Adventure on Kami's Island, a set Bandai's card list files under both OP-15 and EB-04. The base card sold for $7.83–$9.49 and the Alternate Art for $24.74–$39.99 (both Oct 27–28, 2026). Its SP version from OP-17 and a serial-numbered promo had no TCGplayer sales by October 28. In Japan, the OP-17 comic-parallel print of EB04-061 topped Samurai Sword Tokyo's October 2026 ranking of Japanese asking prices, at ¥900,000 (lowest raw ask on SNKRDUNK, Oct 8, 2026; ~$5,700 at ¥157.9/$).
ST31-004 is a Super Rare from Starter Deck RED Monkey.D.Luffy (ST-31). The base card sold for $1.13–$2.38, while the SP version from OP-17 sold for $485–$489.99 (all Oct 26–28, 2026). That's one of the biggest gaps between a base card and its SP in the game.
Gear 5 Luffy promo cards
Two promo numbers show Gear 5 Luffy, each handed out in several versions. The stamp and event name decide the price.
P-099 first came in Event Pack Vol. 8 ($14.90–$16.39, Oct 27–28). The CS 26-27 Event Pack version sold for $158.93–$278.98 (Oct 14–26), the Finalist version for $150–$295 (Sep 28 – Oct 2), and the 4th Anniversary Treasure Campaign Pack version for $4–$6.65 (Oct 27–28).
P-041 first came in Pirates Party Vol. 5. The regular promo sold for $4.39–$15 and its reprint in Starter Deck PURPLE Monkey.D.Luffy (ST-18) for $2.88–$3.99 (Oct 24–28). Tournament versions cost more:
- 1st Anniversary Tournament: $38–$65 (Sep 2 – Oct 27), plus one sale at $663.33 on October 25.
- BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 23-24 World Tour: $138.97–$152.99 (Oct 17–25).
- Offline Regional 2024 Vol. 2, Participant: $64.99–$65.94 (Oct 6–12). Online Regional 2024 Vol. 2, Participant: $100.99–$118.84 (Sep 9 – Oct 18).
- Offline Regional 2024 Vol. 2, Finalist: $431.94 (Oct 11 and 14) and $1,000 (Aug 10).
- CS 2024 Participation: $42.81–$43 (Oct 13–18).
All raw English copies, near mint, TCGplayer sales history read October 29, 2026. All dates 2026.

The rarest Gear 5 Luffy card: the World Finals gold
The most expensive Gear 5 card is a prize, not a pull. An English 2023 Championship World Finals gold Monkey.D.Luffy (OP05-119), graded CGC Pristine 10, sold for $315,600 on Alt in December 2025 (CGC, Dec 23, 2025). CGC says this English copy was never handed out, because the World Finals winner received a Japanese version.
You won't find one in a pack, but it shows how far the Gear 5 OP05-119 reaches: from a $20 Secret Rare to a six-figure trophy. If you're thinking about grading your own Gear 5 card, our grading break-even guide runs the numbers, and our guide to fake PSA slabs covers what to check before buying a graded copy.
Japanese Gear 5 Luffy prices
Japanese prints have their own market. On the Japanese marketplace SNKRDUNK on September 24, 2026, the lowest raw asking prices were ¥658,000 for the OP-05 comic-parallel (Manga) OP05-119 and ¥1,159,999 for the gold SP from A Fist of Divine Speed, with PSA 10 asks from ¥1,180,000 and ¥1,900,000 (Samurai Sword Tokyo, Oct 23, 2026). That's roughly $4,170, $7,350, $7,470 and $12,030 at ¥157.9/$ (ExchangeRate-API, Oct 28, 2026).
These are asks, not sales, and some rest on a single listing. Compare Japanese prices with Japanese prices, and English with English.
Which Gear 5 Luffy card should you get?
It depends on what you want the card for.
- You want Gear 5 art on your desk or in your binder. The ST21-001 Parallel ($55–$57.98) and the OP09-061 Parallel ($85–$88.65) are alternate-art Gear 5 cards for under $100.
- You want to play Gear 5 Luffy. The base Leaders cost a few dollars, and the ST-21 deck gives you a ready-made list built around him.
- You want the chase. The OP05-119 Manga and SP Gold are the cards collectors talk about, and they trade rarely. Buy the single from a seller with clear photos rather than opening packs of old sets.
- You're on a tight budget. The base OP05-119 ($19.99–$24.99) is the original Gear 5 Secret Rare, and it's affordable.

FAQ
What is the rarest Gear 5 Luffy card?
The 2023 Championship World Finals gold OP05-119, a prize card. From packs, the rarest are the OP05-119 Manga from Awakening of the New Era and the gold SP from A Fist of Divine Speed, which each traded only once or twice on TCGplayer between July and October 2026.
How much is a Gear 5 Luffy OP05-119 worth?
It depends on the print. The base Secret Rare sold for $19.99–$24.99 near mint in late October 2026, the Wanted Poster SP for $580–$598.98, the Manga for $8,699.69 (Jul 2, 2026) and the SP Gold for $13,000 (Aug 5, 2026), all raw English copies on TCGplayer.
What set is Gear 5 Luffy from?
His first booster-pack card, OP05-119, is from Awakening of the New Era (OP-05), released in English on December 8, 2023. Gear 5 Luffy has since appeared in starter decks ST-21 and ST-31, Emperors in the New World (OP-09), Adventure on Kami's Island and several promos.
Is the ST-21 Gear 5 starter deck worth buying?
If you want to play Gear 5 Luffy, yes: it's a ready-made deck with the Gear 5 Leader. As a collector, note that its Super Rare Luffy (ST21-014) shows his normal form, and the Leader's parallel version sold for $55–$57.98 as a single in October 2026.
How do I tell a Manga Gear 5 Luffy from the Alternate Art?
The Manga version is drawn in black-and-white manga panels across the whole card. The Alternate Art is in full color with a different illustration. Both keep the number OP05-119, so check the art, not the number.
