TCGplayer, the card marketplace eBay owns, passed $1 billion in gross merchandise volume over the past 12 months and began onboarding sellers in the U.K. and Canada, eBay said in its third-quarter 2026 results on October 28. The report also covers wider trading card authentication on eBay.

TCGplayer reaches $1 billion
TCGplayer is a major U.S. marketplace for singles and sealed product across Pokémon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, Dragon Ball and other games. The $1 billion figure is the value of everything sold through the marketplace over 12 months, not TCGplayer's revenue.
The more practical change is that TCGplayer has started bringing on sellers based in the U.K. and Canada. eBay didn't say when those sellers' listings will appear for buyers, or how shipping and fees will work across borders, so expect more detail from TCGplayer itself.
Authentication now covers cheaper cards
In the U.S., eBay announced on July 29 that eligible single trading cards priced at $200 and above, down from $250, would qualify for Authenticity Guarantee. That covers raw and graded singles in the collectible card game, non-sport and sports card categories.
When an eligible card sells, the seller ships it to an authentication facility where PSA checks that it's genuine and matches the listing, then it goes on to the buyer. eBay says cards are not graded or re-graded in this step. The Q3 report confirms a lower threshold in the U.K. as well, without restating the number.
What it means for collectors
If you buy a card for $200 or more on eBay in the U.S., an extra check now sits between you and the seller at no added cost. It doesn't replace your own look at the listing, especially for graded cards: our guide to fake PSA slab red flags shows what to check before you pay.
For TCGplayer, collectors outside the U.S. may see more local sellers over time, though nothing in eBay's report says when.
What's next
- TCGplayer international sellers: watch TCGplayer's own announcements for when U.K. and Canadian listings go live for buyers.
- Next eBay results: eBay usually reports fourth-quarter results in February.
